A few months ago we moved to Medford, about fifteen miles north of Ashland. Naturally, I’ve been meaning to check out the cemeteries here but, being the procrastinator I am, I had not done so — until yesterday.
The silly thing is there’s a cemetery near here that I drive by nearly any time I’m out and about. I’m not talking about the Siskiyou Memorial Park* that I can easily see from the street (and which doesn’t interest me so much because, well, it’s a memorial park.) No, I’m talking about the Eastwood Cemetery.
Sadly, I’m a day behind, so I should get something up for S-day. Not surprisingly, I saw many suitable possibilities for S-words. So many that I opted to sell the word short and simply post a bunch of photos of S-things.
I have very few sunset or sunrise pictures that I’ve kept because so many of them turn out to be disappointing. I did find a handful though.
Now that fall is nearly over, I thought I’d post some pictures taken around Ashland over the last month or so. Of course, you might say, “Oh yeah, another batch of autumn color pictures. <yawn> Ho hum.” To that I say, “I know,” and “I’m sorry,” and “No one is forcing you to look at these. Or… are they?”
A few posts ago, I mused on the word haunt. In keeping with that theme, here are some photo manipulations* of houses in Bellingham that were meant to convey a haunting mood. Of course, whether they succeed or not is up to you to decide!
