Oh, where do I begin? But see? That’s the problem. O has no beginning and no end. It’s a frickin’ circle!

Or it’s at least oval, which is circle-ish. And it’s dangerously close to the shape of 0 (which is a zero, in case you couldn’t tell). Have you ever had to enter a “code” or captcha field and couldn’t tell if you were supposed to enter an O or a 0? Confusing.

That’s why I like to write a zero with a slash through it.

Zero with slash

Of course, that might look like a symbol for “No Os” or “No 0s” and that just makes things more confusing.

Ode to O

Oh where would we be
if it weren’t for your face?
It’s easy to see
in this special case

Without your vowel nature
near circular form
confusing essence
one thing is for sure

We’d be screwed

OMG. It’s clearly time to stop this madness and hope it’s not too late. Oops!

Me too. I get the purpose, but sometimes it almost isn’t worth it to try gleaning what the letters or numbers are.

Thank you! Writing that was fun, at least until I realized I didn’t know how to end it. So I punted.

“Ode to O” was one of the ideas I couldn’t follow up on for O. We definitely were onthe same wave length. 🙂

There seems to be a trend here with our wavelengths. Now I’m wondering if I should have written an Ode to Hippie Cahier instead. Alas, O, H and C days are all passed.
